Dreamy destinations to watch a breathtaking sunset in Bali

Bali is a magical place, seriously - magical.
When 6:30 in the evening rolls around it's s guarantee no matter what I'm doing, I'm making my way outside to watch the sunset in Bali.
If you're on the hunt for that perfect sunset photo or a day spent soaking up the sun.

The best part is, these locations are free to visit! (ohhh, I love free 😍)
Here’s a few of my fav's located in the most popular beach side areas: Seminyak, Canggu and Uluwatu.
Seminyak area
Potato Head Beach Club
This is possibly the most iconic establishment in Seminyak, Potato Head has a reputation for being a bad ass beach/night club. You can most likely find a celebrity DJ spinning here on any given weekend. I recommend going early if you want to scoop up a spot in the cabana area, just be ready to shell a few $$ to do so.

The W Hotel
This 5-star beach front resort is located just a few doors down from Potato Head. Don’t worry you don’t need to be a hotel guest in order to enjoy the perks of this palace! Woo Bar is their outside pool bar that's open to the regular joe's like us! The insane swimming pool's (yes I mean multiple) are also available for use if you buy a drink at the bar! You don't need to dress up to be here, but you should consider not looking fab, because the photo opts are endless!
Tip: Plan to visit during happy hour Monday to Thursday 4-6pm deals on signature cocktails, buy 1-get-1 free.Get the cocktail named I - Candy "Our signature"… trust me 😍
La Plancha Bali
"The beanie bag bar" it's hard to miss if you're walking down Seminyak beach - a bright yellow bar with 50+ colourful bean bags and sun umbrellas. Try and go AT LEAST an hour before sunset to ensure you get a spot (Opens 2 hours prior) This place is great if you just want to relax and listen to tunes while sipping yummy cocktails, or smoking sheesha (isn’t for me but it’s available if that’s your thing!) Highly recommend this one. 😊
La Laguna
Located right in-between Seminyak and Canggu on Berawa beach. This place is cool! It reminds me of Alice’s wonderland, because it literally looks just like an enchanted forest with all this neat gypsy-like decor. Talk about living in a fantasy land... 😍

Canggu Area
Lv8 Vue Beach Club
My favourite beach club in Canggu! If you want elegance and relaxation it's a must visit. It's a bit more low key than Finn’s beach club (right next door.) The staff here are so attentive and friendly, need I say more, oh but I will.. This infinity pool is lit!!! 😱 I strongly suggest checking this place out.
Tip: They have two happy hours buy-1-get-1-free-cocktails 12-2pm and 5-7pm Get the espresso martini... delicious 😍
Finn's Beach Club
Finn's is the place to be it you're after a fun day session, enjoying some drinks under the sun. There's a bumpin' swim-up bar and fantastic local DJ's spinnin’ on the regular. Go here with the intention to stay awhile, if you get hungry you're in luck because there's tasty food being served too. ☺️
Aston Rooftop Bar
I randomly discovered this gem simply by walking past it, like most establishments in Bali I thought "there's gotta be a pool in there" 🤔 The Aston is a brand new hotel located right behind Old Man's beach. The roof top pool is perfecting.. It's currently open to the public all you have to do is simply buy something from their Cuban inspired restaurant & bar, even a beverage counts! I probably went back to this hotel over ten times during my stay in Canggu, I loved it that much. 😌

The Lawn
This venue has definitely stepped up its game! The lawn went from being a cute picnic area & food truck concept to what it is now (a full on two-tier restaurant with a beach front infinity pool) Owned by the same operators of the well-known establishment Single Fin’s I’m not surprised this turned into all it's glory it is today.
Echo Beach Club
If you want to have a BOMB-ASS meal after soaking up the sun all day head to Echo Beach Club for the freshest BBQ in the area by far! My stomach is grumbling just thinking about that tuna steak! (yummm!) 😋 It's located right on beach front at Echo beach; it'd be hard to miss the huge white and blue sign. This restaurant is a must for great food, atmosphere and sunset views!
The best in Uluwatu area
Single Fins
A cliff side venue in the heart of Uluwatu, YOU watch the sunset here if it's the last thing you do in Bali! In my opinion it's the best night out you can have in Bali. It starts around sunset and goes into the early hours of the morning. It's important to remember this three-level venue is only best on SUNDAY, plan to be there then.

Rock Bar at Ayana Resort
This place is iconic in Bali! It's apart of the very prestige Ayana Resort, which I recommend spending the day at and then head to rock bar for sunset. Rock bar is built into the cliff side and can only be accessed through a floating glass elevator. 😲 Be prepared to buy a pricey cocktail, but I promise the view will make it all- so –worth- it.
El Karbon
A very stylish Spanish restaurant situated on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean 😍 HELLO! Personally I never had the chance to go here because when I wanted to, the dreamy centre pool was closed. However the pictures look extraordinary so I kept it on this list for you.
