How to have healthy skin, hair and nails EVEN when you're on the go traveling

Have a beauty board? - Pin It ❤️

The gift of great skin and luscious locks sadly isn’t in my genetics.

Bless my mom, love her to death, but if there was one thing I wish I didn’t inherit from her it would have to be our sensitive skin, and fine hair. 🙄

Having a healthy glow is a daily commitment for me because I suffer from the following skin conditions; rosacea, dryness, oiliness, and acne blemishes.

Some days my skin is oily and dry at the same time! Like how?!

It’s honestly not a fun feeling when looking my best means being at the mercy of my own skin. I never know what to expect! 😬

"The best foundation you can wear is glowing healthy skin."

Lately however, I’ve been having a great go at it.

I’ve received multiple comments about the appearance of my skin

(This never happens for me!)

Also, my nails feel stronger and my hair is the longest it’s been since I was a child.

Which has me thinking, is the combination of ingredients I’m taking working?!

I’m not suggesting these supplements can miraculously cure everything, but it’s working for me and might for you too.  😊

  • Collagen

An important building block for skin elasticity, while also reducing the appearance of fine lines. Collagen plays a vital part in the process of strengthening our hair, skin and teeth. Collagen supplements can be found in capsule or liquid form, whichever you prefer ingredients are the same. Lorna Vanderhaeghe Collagen Plus is the current product I’m using. It can be found at health stores and some super markets. I add 10 drops to my pre-work out in the morning.

  • Vitamin C serum

Vitamin C is essential to helping the production of collagen in our skin, and fights against aging skin.  A serum is a great way to directly apply the nutrients to your face. I recommend putting on once a day, waiting for the serum to dry (once it turns brown) and then taking it off your face and following with an application of your daily moisturizer. Vitamin C serum has added a noticeable glow to my skin. I’m using Mario Badescu Vitamin C serum and even though it’s priced at 45$ (found at Nordstrom) a little goes along way, 2 drops is all you need.

  • Biotin

One of the B-vitamins also known as B7. This supplement is crucial for many reasons, it helps strengthen and rebuild the molecules found in our hair and nails that we need in order for it to strong. It also contributes to the process of metabolizing carbs, proteins and fats (bonus!) I recently learn too that if you suffer from red or scaly skin conditions it could be caused by a vitamin B7 deficiency, which means adding this to your day couldn't hurt. Biotin can be found at any health food store or drug mart for a reasonable price, I’m currently using  Jamieson.

"beautiful skin requires commitment, not a miracle."

  • Vitamin B 12

Another B-vitamin that rescues our skin from blemishes. B12 can help reduce skin redness, inflammation, dryness and breakouts. Playing a major part in cell reproduction, it’s basically the foundation under clear skin. Anyone who suffers from malnutrition from a restricted diet or heavy drinkers could highly benefit from taking B12. I'm using Jamieson, available  at any heath store, or drug mart.

H2O

Technically not a supplement but I think it’s effectiveness in aiding towards glowing skin is highly under rated. Water is obviously vital to survival but, it helps our bodies effectively absorb any supplements we put in it. Water is a lubrication system our skin and organs need for our bodily functions to be running at its best. Water promotes proper digestions, improving skin complexion,  increases energy and most importantly helps flush out toxins!

"Be good to your skin you'll have to wear it everyday for the rest of your life."
